Chef Rene was born and raised in Guatemala and went to school at NECI in Vermont. He lived in San Francisco for 10 years to work under some of the best chefs and restaurants in the city such as the 2 star Michelin restaurant Coi. From there he moved to Tampa FL and then to Boston to open Forum Restaurant as the CDC. Then it was on to Cape Cod to run one the best seafood restaurants in Wellfleet, MA. Most recently, Rene has been living in DC and worked as the CDC at Fabio Trabocchi’s Fiola Mare before joining the team at The Salt Line.
